We were so sad when Sun Thai left Chatham. Now we make special trips to Carlinville just to eat here! Great food and great service! I recommend Chili Paste with Chicken!

This restaurant adjoins Route 66 Craft Beer & Wine. I recommend them both. Food can be served barside or you can order a drink to the restaurant side.

We stopped here on the way back to town. We have really missed this place since they had to close their Chatham location. We got the gyoza, egg rolls, Mongolian and cashew chicken. Since the casino is next door there is a good selection of craft beers.
Wow! I was very impressed with all the dishes I tried at Sun Thai. All the meats were flavorful. Vegetables were of excellent quality. Finally, the stock is amazing. The staff did a great job guiding us with selecting the level of spiciness. Go treat yourself to some wonderful Thai!
Awesome place. Great food, great service! Gets a little hectic at times but they always do a fabulous job and really make you feel at home. They also have slots, darts and bingo on Thursday. So stop buy, enjoy yourself and pick your spice from mild to burning and everything between. If you’re really adventurous ask about a scorpion shot!!
I stumbled into this hidden Gem in while driving through Carlinville, IL. Locally owned, authentic Thai restaurant in the least likely location. I promise you will not find better Thai food outside of NYC/Chicago/SFO. Very clean, friendly staff with incredible food. I will be back again when I pass through.
